I started running to lose the 50 plus pounds I gained during pregnancy and to reach my goal of running the Army 10 Miler. In the end I gained good health, my sanity, and confidence.
I ran my first marathon in June of 2012 and it was one of the most challenging and rewarding times of my life. It is amazing what the mind and body can do when you just believe.
In 2013 I ran in the Boston Marathon and was thankful that I survived without any physical injuries. I will be back in 2014 to finish what I started. #PrayforBoston
